Ambulatory Care (Walk-in Clinic)
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of Szent István Hospital is located in a separate 4-story building (Building N). The Walk-in Clinic is located in the basement, while Gynecology and Maternal and Fetal Medicine patient care takes place on the mezzanine level. The Postpartum and Newborn Unit is on the first floor, and Labor & Delivery along with operating rooms are on the second floor.
Our Walk-in Clinic serves Obstetrics, Maternal Fetal Medicine and Gynecological Oncology patients. Our services are available by appointment only, and require a referral from your specialist. Appointments are necessary in order to reduce wait times. Exceptions include urgent or emergency care or patients transported by ambulance.
Pre-operative examinations (labs, ECG, chest X-rays, anesthesiologist consults) take place on an outpatient basis, thereby making sure patients spend as little time as possible as inpatients at the hospital.
